Christ’s List:

Daily Work:

Their mission is to place unemployed people in living-wage jobs. Various ways to support their mission include mentoring a job seeker, providing office supplies, etc.

Food Shelf:

We collect food in our large wooden food bin in our worship area and deliver it to our local Keystone food shelf.  Team members help with promotion and once per month delivery.

Sponsor of Keystone Foodmobile:

Twice a month, volunteers assist with the Keystone Foodmobile when they serve our local Mount Airy Senior High Rise and the Mount Airy Community Center. Keystone gives out 13,000 pounds of food to families in need each month. ISAIAH:

This is a faith-based community organizing group that partners with churches all over the Twin Cities to lobby on behalf of those who are most in need in our community.

Lutheran Advocacy Minnesota, formerly The Lutheran Coalition for Public Policy in MN:

This organization is housed in our building and we support their great efforts.  Their mission is to promote public policy that supports peace, justice, and care for all of God’s creation.

Loaves and Fishes Meals for the Hungry:

In 2017 we are serving at St Matthew's at 490 Hall Avenue on the west side of St. Paul, along with our partners at Rock of Ages Baptist Church. Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women:

This is an organization that we support that is an educational and lobbying group on behalf of women and women’s shelters.  We have helped with administrative work and their “Clothes Line Project” displaying T shirts for people who have died in domestic violence. Our Women’s Group, the CLCW is the main avenue of connection.

Serving the Homeless (Project Home):

As needed we are called upon to help staff this ministry to homeless families.  Housed at various churches we can sign up to be a late afternoon welcoming team and/or an overnight and breakfast team. Times vary according to need.

 
Tanzania Sister Church:

Every year we send $1,000 to our sister church in Tanzania.  If you’d like to be part of this team, you could help stay in contact with that church and help keep our church informed about where our money goes.

Visiting People who are Homebound:

Several times a year the Pastor visits people who can’t make it to church.  This is a team that is also committed to visiting one or more people several times a year.

Women’s Shelter, Eagle’s Nest:

This is the local women’s shelter we support.  Currently we provide items as requested by the shelter such as suit cases, toiletries, towels.  Our Women’s Group, the CLCW is the main avenue of connection.
