Welcome
Thanks for visiting our website!
We hope you can find everything you’re looking for here. And, of course, we’d be happy if you also found your way to visit us in person.
On Sundays, you’ll find a wonderful blend of people; as many as 13 different nationalities come together every Sunday at 9:30 AM– many ethnicities but one people, many races under one God. The worship is also a blend: traditional elements, multicultural melodies and new sounds, all coming together within a welcoming atmosphere.
Christ on Capitol Hill (we’re right across the street from the State Capitol) is a place where people experience genuine grace and kindness. Enjoy browsing our site, and we hope to see you soon!
Sunday Evening Worship Begins June 2, 5:00pm
Starting June 2, we're going to offer a 5:00pm service every Sunday.
We hope it will serve our members who may be out of town any given weekend and arrive back in time for an early evening worship time.
We hope it will serve our members for whom an early morning worship time would be difficult.
We hope it will serve many who are not yet our members, but who will be glad when we say to them, "Let's go to the house of the Lord...at 9:30 and/or at 5:00."
What will it be like?
It will begin Sunday, June 2, at 5:00pm. We will meet in the Gathering Space. There will be a variety of singing, as well as Bible readings, prayer, communion, and candles. The sermon will be similar to the one on Sunday morning. We hope the atmosphere will be just as welcoming as Sunday morning, but a bit more informal.
Could I come to both Sunday morning and Sunday evening?
But of course! Each service will have its own unique flavor, and you may find you enjoy coming to both.
Can I bring a friend?
(I smiled as I wrote that question.) YES!!!
